Bittersweet [Autumn]: live performance
The Choir of First Church in Boston sang Mary's piece yesterday morning as part of a service focused on musical members of the church (composers, performers, etc.). This explains why an autumn-themed piece was performed in January!

Agenda for 1/26
Congratulations on a successful first rehearsal. We made our way through a good chunk of the music, and we'll conclude our reading at the 1/26 rehearsal.
If you are new to this group, remember: we have an entire semester to learn the music. We are just reading right now, and there will be plenty of time for you to feel comfortable with the music.
For those early-comers, I have a rehearsal from 6:15-6:45 next week in Heineman. You are welcome to come in, though.
Here's the plan:
6:55 Tori: I'd like to give you a quick vocalization to assess if you are soprano or alto. Please come a wee bit early.
7-7:10 warmup
10-20 Concord
20-8pm read final three pieces (not yet handed out)
8-8:05 BREAK
5-15 These things never die
15-20 Give me your tired (adding missing page & reading)
20-30 Lonely people: do all "lonely people" sections
30-40 Sure on this: pp.6-7
40-50 Hallelujah: we need to conform rhythms on the verses + we'll work on the final page
50-9pm All new people: I will give you a quick assessment for vocal placement.
See you then!
